  Joy Waters Fowler
Wife. Mother. Daughter. Sister. Aunt. Niece. Friend. Servant. Redeemed by the Almighty. Called according to His purpose.
Passionate about authentic worship, Joy is a singer's singer with a sincere heart for glorifying the Father. Says Fowler, "At this point in my life, I'd so much rather lead people in worship rather than to ever 'perform' for the sake of performance... The heart is what matters - an open, vulnerable heart before the Lord - and that's what I want to convey in ministry through worship."
Based in metro-Atlanta, Georgia, Joy is a Christian recording artist who travels the country as a worship leader and guest vocalist in various churches and with GO TELL Ministries. In 2015, she released her third album project entitled "Into Your Promise".
Joy has been married to Chris since 1992 and has loved raising their two children while singing on the side. The Fowlers landed in Buford, Georgia in 1992 and established the Fine Arts Program in the acclaimed Buford City Schools where Chris continues to serve as the Fine Arts Coordinator and Choral Director at Buford High School. After pursuing a record deal in the late-90's, Joy saw her destiny in the face of her toddler while driving down the road and glancing in her rear view mirror. She made the decision to walk away from the music industry and devote those years to raising her child and supporting her husband's career.  Life as they knew it came to an ugly reality when Chris, who was enrolled in the doctoral program at the University of Georgia, became ill after his brother's murder. Joy began teaching voice lessons to help supplement their family's income. Through her experience with high schoolers, Joy has become passionate about mentoring and volunteerism. She serves as the director and coordinator of the Miss Buford Scholarship Program, empowering young women to be difference makers in their community. She also runs Becca's Closet Atlanta, a 501c3 non-profit which gives formal dresses to underprivileged high school girls who are financially unable to attend their prom or homecoming dance. She continues to write and record, record as a session vocalist, work with high-schoolers, offer vocal coaching, write and direct the annual Variety Show for Buford's Choral Department alongside Chris, and produce the Miss Atlanta (MAO) Scholarship Pageant. The Fowlers are excited about seeing God use the equipment He's given them to reach the lost and encourage the body of Christ for the sake of His kingdom.
Joy is available for events as a singer or speaker and would love the opportunity to inspire your group to pick up the tools God has laid at their feet to become a difference maker for Him.
